Abstract
The current Covid - 19 pandemic is estimated to be the worst pandemic in World history. However the effects of the Covid - 19 on the World population and the lessons learned from the world past years pandemic have never been discussed. The objective of the present study is to investigate the effects of the Covid - 19 Pandemic on the World population with the attention to discuss the lessons learned from the past global Pandemics. To accomplish the study’s objective I employed a Simple linear Regression Model to evaluate the effects of the current Covid - 19 Pandemic on the World population. Worldwide Time series data from China Daily Covid - 19 Reports dated from 1st march 2020 to 25th march 2020 were used by the study. During investigating the effects of the Covid - 19 pandemic on the World population the study assumes Covid - 19 confirmed cases to be an independent variable while Covid - 19 death cases to be an dependent variable of the study from 1st march 2020 to 25th march 2020. The study findings were in actual fact very interesting. The study findings revealed that there is a positive and meaningful relationship between the Covid - 19 confirmed cases and death cases from dated 1st march 2020 to 25th march 2020 Worldwide. The meaning is the recent Covid - 19 pandemic already affected the World population through a significant number of deaths worldwide. The most attention lessons learned from past global pandemics are; There is no widely accepted, consistent methodology for estimating the economic impacts of pandemics, Spending and costs specifically associated with pandemic preparedness and response efforts are poorly tracked, the best way and effective way to control the virus spreading is to exercise the so-called social distancing. Different from the HIV Aids all the past global pandemics were managed by the World scientists through the development of the vaccines to end the Pandemic.
